Minsun Lee

About
Minsun Lee pursued both her undergraduate and graduate studies in sculpture at Seoul National University and later completed a Master of Art course at the Royal College of Art in 2015. The artist chooses to engage with the pre-established meanings of products and deeply ingrained social preconceptions, which she dissects, manipulates, and transforms into her creations. Instead of limiting herself to any specific subject matter, Lee shapes her work around a variety of themes, creating “art about art” that contains “content about content.” This unique approach results in inventive fictions imbued with simple actions and subtle sarcasm. Manifested in various forms such as video, text (stories), sculpture, and websites, these narratives are then exhibited in spaces designed to elicit more expansive, detached perspectives.
