Song Min Jung
- About
- Song Min Jung integrates fact and fiction and connects them to the timeline of the screen as she explores the relationship between bodies and media. She creates new connections by modifying or redistributing certain impressions perceived in the present, and in so doing, constructs the atmosphere of a non-hierarchical sequence in order to delineate a world of violence, exploitation, and trauma. By informing the bodies of the audience to extend fragments of time, her work gives way to a path headed toward a hybrid world between physical place and psychological space. Song has participated in multiple group exhibitions including the Busan Biennale: We, On the Rising Wave (Pier 1 of Busan Port, Choryang, Busan, 2022), Night Turns to Day (Art Sonje Center, 2019), and Young Korean Artists 2019: Liquid Glass Sea (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, 2019), in addition to holding solo exhibitions such as COLD MOOD (1000% soft point) (Tastehouse, 2018) and Little ASJC: Tandsmør (Kunsthal Aarhus, 2021).
