About
Ko Yohan was born in 1992 in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea. From a young age, influenced by his father, a nature artist, Ko spent much of his time exploring mountains, fields, rivers, and beaches. In 2017, he graduated from the Department of Sculpture at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China and later earned his master’s degree from the same institution in 2021. Holding the conviction that “nature art” represents the purest form of artistic expression, Ko views nature itself as a flawless artwork, and he draws his inspiration directly from it.

Ko’s exploration of the foundational elements of nature—light, sound, movement, and harmony—revolves around the intricate relationships between objects and phenomena. He identifies causal or complementary links between the tangible qualities of natural objects and the core aspects of human existence. Alternatively, he perceives them as pathways to another realm. Through his works, Ko captures the vital emergence, development, and metamorphosis that spring from the fundamental essence of life, conveying both the intrinsic nature and beauty of the world around us.
