About
How can a painting exist as a process? How might it manifest as the very act of the process, rather than just a ‘process’ as a concept birthed from its byproducts? Is it possible for a painting to be perceived as a present event, akin to a performance or happening? Stemming from these inquiries, my works deconstruct the notion of ‘completion’ in painting, perpetually subsuming the paintings within the process.

My paintings persist as a process, dismantling and renewing the concept of completion. My ongoing series, such as 0 Painting, By-product, Selected/Unselected Painting, Weighty Painting, and Chaosmos, interlink continuously and organically. For instance, images crafted in 0 Painting are detached from the canvas to transform into the installation named By-product, which in turn evolves into Selected/Unselected Painting. My exploration doesn’t halt there, and I continue to deconstruct and adapt the artworks, leading to the creation of Weighty Painting and Chaosmos. Essentially, as soon as one series reaches its completion and receives its title, it undergoes deconstruction, only to be reborn as the subsequent piece. My work reaches its finality when the tangible form ultimately vanishes,
having undergone countless cycles of creation and dissolution.
